SNG Broadcast Services purchases DVE5000 digital video exciter

London-based SNG Broadcast Services recently purchased an Advent DVE5000 digital video exciter.

The DVE5000 is an HD and SD MPEG encoder with integrated L-Band modulation and an HPA controller that supports a wide range of TWTAs and SSPAs.

The exciter features a compact design, that allows it to be installed in newsgathering vehicles, where two units, typically the digital video exciter and the block upconverter can be installed side by side in one 19in rack.
