RF Central to unveil RFX-PRM-II portable ENG receiver

RF Central will introduce its RFX-PMR-II portable digital receiver at NAB2008.

Available in both SD and HD configurations, the rugged unit is designed for easy and quick setup for electronic newsgathering (ENG) and field applications. In addition, it is weather-resistant for broadcasts during adverse climate conditions.

Accommodating FCC channel plans in conjunction with the Broadcast Auxiliary Service (BAS) relocation project, the PMR-II features manual or preset channels with tuning in 0.25MHz steps. The unit is capable of receiving frequencies between 1.990GHz and 2.500GHz. When configured for HD, the PMR-II supports 1080i and 720p formats in addition to SD modes. Demodulation modes include QPSK, 16 QAM and 64 QAM with auto detection.
