RF Central to unveil palm-sized microwave receiver

Digital microwave technology provider RF Central will show a handheld version of its COFDM monitor/receiver at NAB2009 ((Booth C3707). The RFX-PRX-II is targeted at ENG confidence monitoring applications using COFDM DVB-T modulation in QPSK, 16-QAM and 64-QAM modes.

The lightweight palm-sized receiver (available in 2GHz, 5.8GHz and 6.4GHz bands) is a mere 16cm x 12cm x 3.8cm housed in a rugged ABS plastic shell.

The PRX-II is equipped with a 5.6in high-resolution screen and offers record and playback capabilities via a user-replaceable flash memory card. The product can serve as a monitor/receiver and can additionally output composite or SVGA video and audio. In addition, the unit is CE approved and RoHS compliant.
