ND SatCom unveils IP satellite contribution system

ND SatCom has introduced a newly designed IP contribution solution for reporting from the field.

ND SatCom’s IP solution allows live video contribution and video streaming based on MPEG-4/H.264. The system allows broadcasters to equip their ENG vehicles and satellite uplinks to produce and transmit live IPTV content.

ND SatCom’s solution contains the lightweight SkyRAY Light antenna subsystem, the company’s Antenna Pointing System (APS) and the SkyWAN Compact TΦ satellite modem, which was unveiled at IBC2007.

The MF-TDMA modem achieves an IP data rate exceeding 10Mb/s. The SkyRAY Light antenna subsystem allows integration on any passenger car, truck or SUV without mechanical modification of the vehicle.
