ND SatCom rolls out antenna positioning auto-pointing software

ND SatCom has introduced its Automatic Pointing System (APS) software. The software allows an optimized one-button-operation for the company’s SkyWAN networks with its SkyRAY Antenna Subsystems.

APS can be put into operation worldwide. It requires no additional satellite bandwidth for the antenna positioning or a pilot signal or reference satellite. Only the position of the satellite together with all relevant measuring and pointing equipment, GPS receiver and compass are necessary to determine the antenna elevation, azimuth and polarization angle. The software performs all monitoring and control functions.
