ND SatCom marks 50th SNG vehicle milestone with GlobeCast

ND SatCom has delivered the 50th satellite newsgathering vehicle to broadcast service provider GlobeCast, which supplies ND SatCom compactSNGs to broadcasters in France and Italy for live news and sports gathering.

While most of the vehicles have primarily been operated by French radio and TV stations, ND SatCom and GlobeCast are strengthening their cooperation in the Italian broadcast market.

A recently integrated compactSNG was the first vehicle in GlobeCast Italia’s SNG network operated by remote control via database. Combining GlobeCast’s workflow database with ND SatCom’s one-button Automatic Pointing System (APS) facilitates cost-efficient newsgathering and reporting by allowing news reporters and sports journalists to operate the SNG vehicle without any specialist support.
