MRC signs VAR agreement with Globecomm Systems

Microwave Radio Communications (MRC) has signed a $3 million contract and ongoing VAR agreement with Globecomm Systems for an undisclosed number of Advent Mantis 1.9m and 2.4m antenna systems.

Globecomm will integrate these antenna systems with RF electronics under its Explorer product line. The completed system supports voice, video and data transport for an undisclosed U.S. government user.

The Mantis is lightweight and rapidly deployable. It offers quad-band capability (Ku, C, X, Ka), feed cartridges with field interchangeability that can be used in conjunction with one another, as well as a lightweight carbon fiber design.
