Miranda Technologies introduces ASI-Bridge


The ASI-Bridge converts HDV directly to ASI without the need for an HD MPEG-2 encoder.

Miranda Technologies has launched its ASI-Bridge, a camera-mounted HDV-to-ASI converter. The converter offers direct transmission of HDV news footage and on-set recording of dailies using D-VHS.

The interface accepts HDV via an iLink connection and converts it to standard MPEG-2/ASI format. The ASI-Bridge converts HDV directly to ASI without the need for an HD MPEG-2 encoder.
