Maxell to highlight new Professional Disc for XDCAM HD

At NAB2007, Maxell will showcase its newly introduced Professional Disc optical media for XDCAM HD video systems.

This new Maxell media combines high-capacity storage, fast transfer rates and rugged characteristics making it reliable for the rigorous demands of the professional video and broadcast environments. The Maxell Professional Disc for XDCAM system employs a high-precision, polycarbonate plastic cartridge to protect against dust, scratches and fingerprints, and eliminates handling errors caused by heavy use.

Offering 23.3GB of storage capacity, the Professional Disc media provides up to 122 minutes of record/playback time in the HD format (MPEG HD LP mode), more than 65 minutes in the HD format (MPEG HD HQ mode), about 45 minutes at 50Mb/s in the SD format (MPEG IMX) and up to 85 minutes in the SD format (DVCAM).

See Maxell in NAB2007 booth C7736 or visit www.maxell.com.
