Florida State production unit acquires AJ-HPX2000 camcorders

Seminole Productions, the video production unit of Florida State University’s Department of Communication, recently acquired four Panasonic AJ-HPX2000 2/3in shoulder-mount P2 HD camcorders.

The solid-state P2 HD camcorders are being used to shoot features for several sports TV shows that air on Fox Sports Net/Sun Sports, including “Seminole Sports Magazine.”

As the production arm for the athletic department, Seminole Productions is deploying the HPX2000s in multicamera setups feeding the video boards at more than 80 live events annually, including Seminoles’ football, basketball and baseball games. The cameras are also being used for instruction in advanced video production classes.
