Chrosziel introduces SunShade for HDV cameras

At NAB2007, Chrosziel unveiled its new HDV SunShade 455-R1, which is designed to deliver optimum stray light reduction, low weight and one rotatable filter stage for comfortable use of polarizer filters.

The HDV SunShade 455-R1, which the company is shipping, uses a 110mm clamp adapter to allow the use of existing adapter rings. It covers the dimensions of all the wide-angle converters.

The company also introduced the HDV Rig VariLock, a follow-focus system that can handle the electronic focus of HDV cameras. The HDV Rig VariLock allows repeatable adjustments for all cameras that do not focus at variable speed.

Precise focus pulling even without seeing the markings is possible, because the range can be set mechanically between 10 degrees and 320 degrees. The camera operator himself can pull the focus, even with the camera on his shoulder.
