CBS Sports turns to Dalet for script, rundown management

CBS Sports used the DaletPlus NewsWire to manage scripts and rundowns for its coverage of Super Bowl XLI.

It also has used the newswire product for a variety of other shows, including "NFL Today," and coverage of collegiate football and basketball.

Installed in November 2006, the newsroom computer system provides advanced rundown management, including control over teleprompters and automatic live updates.

When on the road covering events such as Super Bowl XLI in Miami, the application enables CBS Sports to work remotely on the WAN as well as quickly synchronize all its remote systems and the main server in New York City. Keeping all the systems in sync offers the crew both backup security and a streamlined production process in the facility and on-site.
