Avid, Masstech Group ink product licensing deal

Masstech Group announced Oct. 31 that it had entered into a licensing agreement with Avid Technology that covers the integration of Masstech’s SAvI (Smart Avid Interface) and Avid’s Transfer Manager server.

The collaboration will allow users of Masstech’s SAvI to streamline workflow processes throughout the on-air environment. Broadcasters can automate the movement of content across a number of concurrent workflows, which can include ingest, archive, automation, editing and playout systems.

Masstech Group's SAvI supports both Avid Interplay and Avid Unity environments.
