Anton/Bauer shows modular battery system

Anton/Bauer is showing a new modular power system at IBC2009 that is designed for remote and on-location shoots. The new Tandem 150 is one of the smallest (5.2in x 4.03in x 2.19in) and lightest (1lb) charger and on-camera power supply package available on the market.

The Tandem 150 can be operated automatically as a DC power supply once a camera or other device is connected and turned on. The system includes a separate power/charger device and power supply, allowing users to simultaneously charge a battery and power a camera. When a 75W draw is exceeded, the system automatically stops charging and performs solely as a 150W power supply. If the camera is turned off or the load is reduced below 75W, the Tandem 150 system instantly resumes normal operation. This design reduces 80 percent of the heat coming off the back of the camera, according to the company, for added operator comfort.

The Tandem 150 gives users the option of operating the system from the AC mains (90V to 250V AC, 50Hz-60Hz), the charger via a car’s cigarette lighter or with the Anton/Bauer Solar Charger.

Anton/Bauer has expanded its product offerings to include the Gold Mount system, InterActive chargers and Logic Series batteries such as the HyTRON and Dionic series of Li-Ion batteries.

Eleven FCC Scenarios for The 600 MHz Band Plan
I suspect that the estimated $44 billion of auction proceeds do not take into account the fact that some spectrum the FCC will buy cannot be resold because it must be used as guard intervals in the 600 MHz band plan.~ Charles W. Rhodes
