ADS Tech rolls out Dual-Link SDI converter

ADS Tech has unveiled its new portable Dual-Link SDI converter with embedded AES/EBU digital stereo audio functionality.

The Dual-Link SDI transcoder is a 1394a bidirectional device that converts DV audio/video to and from SDI video. Windows XP- and Mac OS X-compatible, the device can be used with a portable battery pack, making it well suited for on-location news and event broadcasts.

With the Dual-link SDI converter, camera operators have a solution for Betacam transcoding, transporting content for nonlinear editing production and connecting to studio SDI network backbones or affiliate SDI matrices while leveraging legacy equipment.

With the Dual-Link SDI transcoder, news crews and editors can transfer video from Betacam to DV25 with a single, affordable solution.
