Wafian unveils two new direct-to-disk HD recorders

Wafian is introducing this week at NAB2007 the HR-F1 and the HR-2 direct-to-disk video recorders.

The Wafian HR-F1 is a portable direct-to-disk field recorder with support for 1920 x 1080 10-bit 4:2:2 HD-SDI video recording using the CineForm Intermediate format.

The unit's base configuration can record more than 10 hours (160Mb/s) of master quality footage. Its hot swappable media drive allows for an optional 160GB solid-state disk, which can hold more than two hours of video (160Mb/s).

The Wafian HR-2 is a 10-bit 4:4:4 dual-link video recorder for digital film acquisition. It records into CineForm 444 format at 360Mb/s.
