VBrick launches new H.264-based HD, SD network video appliances

VBrick Systems has announced its next-generation product architecture and the availability of its newest networked video appliances, the VBrick 7000 and 8000 series.

The new H.264-based video appliances support both SD and HD video delivery. The VBrick H.264 appliance is the first in a line of products that will be delivered on VBrick’s new standards-based MicroTCA architecture. The product line will initially consist of two appliances for SD and HD

They will be available as blades for VBrick’s MicroTCA high-density shelf, which will be available in the first quarter of next year. All versions will support low-delay encoding, multicasting, remote management and enhanced quality for any given bandwidth.
