Utah Scientific, Ross Video unveil new user interface

Ross Video and Utah Scientific have jointly announced that Utah Scientific’s routing switchers now have a direct interface with Ross Synergy digital production switchers.

The new router interface makes plant router sources selectable directly from the Synergy standard definition and multi-definition system control areas. Router mnemonics are supported, with the router eight-character source name being displayed on the system control area and Synergy’s Preview Overlay source ID text. If the Synergy panels are equipped with mnemonics, the router name also appears directly above the source buttons. Also supported is the ability to use switcher remote aux panels, taking advantage of the switcher routing matrix with audio follow coming from the router. The Synergy switcher automatically matches the appropriate audio sources on the router with the video selected on the aux panels.
