Utah Scientific delivers routers for Beijing Olympics

Utah Scientific has completed the delivery of several routing switchers for use at this summer’s Olympic Games in Beijing, the company said March 6.

The shipment consists of four large UTAH-400 HD routers for use in the main broadcast center and 34 smaller UTAH-100 HD routers to be used at various event venues.

In addition to providing the new systems, Utah Scientific will refit existing UTAH-400 routers already acquired by host broadcaster Beijing Olympic Broadcasting (BOB) for expanded HD capacity and will upgrade its system controllers to provide the full feature set of its SC-4 router control system.
