Summit to explore IPTV opportunities, pitfalls

The Yankee Group is sponsoring a summit on IPTV to explore the ramifications of choosing a delivery path to be held in the Dorothy Quincy Suite at the Back Bay Events Center July 19-20, in Boston.

The summit, “What Can IPTV Do For You and What Can You Do With IPTV?” is intended to provide perspective on the real technology decisions that will be made over the next several quarters and explore the opportunities IPTV presents as it evolves.

The summit will include interactive panel discussions and peer-to-peer networking opportunities.

Some topics to be covered include:

  • How today’s technology decisions will impact the future of IPTV and entertainment;
  • The potential cost sink holes of IP video and where the biggest opportunities are;
  • View the IP video market from the content providers’ perspective and see why this market is more than just cable or fiber;
  • The Yankee Group’s latest research on the IP video market.
