South African OB company acquires Vislink HD wireless camera systems

Dimension TV, an outside broadcast company in South Africa, has ordered Vislink News and Entertainment LINK L1500 HD wireless cameras systems.

Dimension TV is purchasing four complete, high-end LINK L1500 wireless camera systems with 1W amplifiers, camera control and Link fiber units for HD video. They will be used for live sports broadcasts in South Africa and internationally.

The LINK L1500 transmitter has a modular design with SD and HD options. Vislink offers a choice of DVB-T or its own modulation scheme, LMS-T, which was developed to enhance wireless operation in HD. The cameras include interchangeable frequency modules and an optional control interface that allows use of the L1500s with the control facilities provided by the camera manufacturer.
