Softron Media Services to launch MovieRecorder 2.0 shipments

Softron Media Services will begin shipping MovieRecorder 2.0, a major upgrade to its existing MovieRecorder application used by broadcasters and post professionals worldwide, during IBC2009.

MovieRecorder 2.0 is a Macintosh-based, multiformat, multi-input acquisition application that digitizes video into self-contained QuickTime reference movies that can be used to edit during ingest.

MovieRecorder 2.0 supports multiple SD and HD formats, either compressed or uncompressed. It allows video clips being captured to be stored to multiple locations simultaneously. Ingests can be scheduled over time or can be manually triggered.

When capturing from multiple video inputs using multiple video cards on either the same or on different workstations, ingests can be monitored and controlled using MovieRecorder Control.

See Softron at IBC2009 in Stand 3.A48.
