Snell & Wilcox to introduce Alchemist Ph.C – HD standards converter

Snell & Wilcox will unveil the new Alchemist PH.C – HD motion-compensated HD standards converter at NAB2007 in Las Vegas.

The result of extensive research into the demands of HD frame-rate standards conversion, the new Alchemist Ph.C - HD yields high-quality converted images. Even the most dynamic inputs are delivered with detail and free from artifacts.

The Alchemist Ph.C - HD provides a complete standard and format conversion solution in a compact, robust package. Besides offering HD frame-rate conversion for 1080i and 720p standards, it also performs SD standards conversion between 50Hz and 60Hz material, as well as HDTV upconversion, downconversion and crossconversion.

The system's architecture provides two outputs that can be used for transmission of program feeds in multiple standards or formats depending on the requirements of the client.
