SKY PerfecTV! goes HD

SKY PerfecTV!, Japan, will have Harris supply and install an HD version of the H-Class D-Series Playout Automation application and H-Class Media Ingest application for its on-air operation.

The order was placed through the Harris Japanese distributor ITOCHU Cable Systems.

SKY PerfecTV!, a direct-to-home satellite service provider in Japan, initially purchased the D-Series Playout Automation solution to control six playout channels, a number of different routing systems, Sony FlexiCarts, Pinnacle servers, subtitling and multiple keying levels using Miranda equipment. Based on the system's reliability, SKY PerfecTV! carried out further technical reviews leading to the current system expansion.
