Sharp unveils 65in LCD HDTV

Sharp plans to introduce a 65in LCD TV in Japan, further encroaching on the large-display flat panel territory once the sole domain of plasma displays.

The LC-65GE1 AQUOS 65V is a digital HD LCD TV. It offers 1920x1080 pixel display, support for 1080i and a new four-wavelength backlight that adds crimson to red, green and blue for purer red display.
