Sacramento PBS station acquires Hitachi HD cameras

Using money it received as part of a Federal grant program, KVIE-DT, the PBS affiliate in Sacramento, CA, has outfitted its main production studio with three new Hitachi SK-HD1000 multiformat studio/field cameras, each equipped with Canon HD studio lenses. The studio is used to produce several live local programs.

A loyal, long-time customer of Hitachi, KVIE serves the Sacramento-Stockton-Modesto market, which ranks 20th in television markets nationwide and third in California. Known as PBS channel 6, KVIE broadcasts to over 1.3 million households in 28 counties.
