Ross Video to release SoftMetal video server version 2.0

Ross Video will release version 2.0 of its SoftMetal video servers at NAB2008.

New features include the media manager application for easy viewing and sorting of clips, transcode manager application for transcoding files, various user interface and system enhancements, Apple Final Cut Pro, QuickTime animation and Avid workflow support.

SoftMetal is a line of multidefinition video servers designed for both production and master control applications. They are available in 36 different configurations — 18 SD models and 18 multidefinition models.
