Ross Video offers multi-definition terminal equipment

Ross Video will unveil its RossGear MD, a new line of multi-definition modules for distribution, monitoring, format conversion, frame synchronization, audio embedding and processing, at IBC2005 in Amsterdam.

The new RossGear MD product line is designed to complement the Synergy MD line of switchers.

The RossGear MD lineup handles all SD-SDI and HD-SDI signals. Along with a new 2RU modular MD frame, it offers modules designed for audio/video distribution, conversion, synchronization, multiplexing and demultiplexing.

The new UDC-8225 cross converter module converts between any SD and HD formats with advanced video de-interlacing, noise reduction and a broadcast quality scaling engine.
