Ross interfaces with CameraMan

ParkerVision’s CameraMan robotic camera can now directly interface with Ross Video’s Synergy digital production switchers and OverDrive integrated production control system.

The new support for CameraMan is available in version 6.1 software for the Synergy MD/X switchers and is already at work at WAWS-TV in Jacksonville, FL.

The new compatibility allows Ross Video to integrate existing ParkerVision camera installations into multidefinition control rooms. Ross customers can continue to use existing SD installations until they move to HDTV production.

OverDrive is a production control system with a real-time LiveLink MOS interface to the newsroom editorial system. The device control capabilities of Ross production switchers combined with OverDrive gives users a more efficient and sophisticated workflow.
