Rental Station unveils Remote Station post solution

The Rental Station division of Media Distributors has unveiled a new on-location post-production solution, the Remote Station, for turnkey video editing and storage management.

The Media Distributors Remote Station consists of a road-ready HD editing system secured in two Anvil-style road cases. Each Remote Station includes a Panasonic SD-/HD-SDI video monitor; Genelec reference speakers; Mackie audio mixer and customized Apple Mac Pros running Final Cut Studio 2.

The detachable accessory-case lid features folding legs to form a sturdy editing desk for on-location use. The Remote Station setup was powered by a high-speed storage area network on 4Gb fiber for immediate, shared access to all media by each editor.
