Oxygen DCT launches Broadcast Systems division

Oxygen DCT, a UK-based provider of a full range of third-party broadcast equipment and systems, has launched a new distribution division called Oxygen Broadcast Systems Solutions (Oxygen BSS).

The move is in response to user requests to expand the company’s high-end HDTV digital systems solutions with technology for the broadcast and digital cinema media sectors.

Oxygen BSS is the UK distributor for Penta Media and Astrodesign HDTV, 2K and 4K LCD displays; Quvis storage and distribution servers and digital cinema products; Astrodesign test and measurement equipment; and Sandar Telecast routing and distribution gear. Together with the Oxygen DCT range, Oxygen BSS offers more than 1200 broadcast products and has recently provided complete HDTV solutions to some of London's leading post-production houses.

In its first two years, Oxygen DCT supplied more than 500 HD and digital systems to a worldwide consumer base that includes the UK's Channel 4, BBC TV, ITV, BT and QVC, as well as Soho facilities such as The Mill, MPC, Cinesite, Framestore and Ascent Media.
