OB Team orders two new HD production vehicles

OB Team, the outside broadcast arm of Norway's TV2, has received two new HD outside broadcast vehicles from Sony Broadcast.

UK-based Broadcast Networks was responsible for all design, systems integration and project management.

OB Team initially ordered a small eight-camera vehicle. With the HD market expanding so quickly, however, the company decided to increase its presence in the market by commissioning two trucks. One is outfitted with 20 HD cameras and the other with eight, allowing for maximum flexibility.

Broadcast Networks was commissioned to manage the entire project and spent many hours with OB Team designing the system, equipment specification and interior layout of the trucks.

The equipment specified for the trucks included Sony HD cameras, HDCAM VTRs, HD video switchers/DVEs, HD switching matrixes, HD LCD monitors, Axon interfacing equipment, EVS HD slow-motion systems, Studer Vista 8 audio consoles, Dolby processing equipment, Newbury Systems audio monitoring systems and Vitec talkback systems.
