NEC launches Multeos professional multifunction displays

NEC has introduced the NEC Multeos LCD series, a new line of multifunction monitors offering features reflecting Web and broadcast content convergence. The NEC Multeos line includes PC and AV inputs as well as the ability to be configured with an ATSC HD tuner.

An expansion slot offers functional upgrades such as a single board computer, additional input connections and a single antenna interference cancellation (SAIC) input for broadcast. The Multeos LCD series currently features the 46in M46 and the 40in M40. The displays offer full HD 1080p resolution at 1920 x 1080 and a 16:9 aspect ratio.

The new Multeos M40 and M46 displays are RoHS compliant, containing fully disposable plastics and minimal amounts of hazardous materials, such as lead, hex-chrome, cadmium, mercury, PBDE and PBB.
