More than a dozen broadcast groups turn to Baron Services for HD weather

After a year of offering HD weather solutions, Baron Services counts 13 broadcast groups with more than 20 major market TV stations, as owners of its HD weather solutions, including VIPIR HD, FasTrac HD and/or StormWarn HD.

Broadcast group owners of Baron HD solutions include: ABC/Disney, Belo Broadcasting, Capital Broadcasting, Cordillera Communications, COX Broadcasting, FOX News, Gannett Broadcasting, Griffin; Hearst-Argyle, Media General, Scripps Howard Broadcasting, Univision and Young Broadcasting.

To preserve crisp HD images, Baron’s HD solutions can be configured to native 1920 x 1080 or native 1280 x 720, eliminating the need for upconversion.

VIPIR HD is a complete weather system; FasTrac HD tracks storms in HD and StormWarn HD allows broadcasters to break into an HD broadcast with severe weather alerts from the National Weather Service.
