Midwest TEL NET chooses TANDBERG Television iPlex for HD IPTV

Midwest TEL NET, a consortium of Independent Operating Companies (IOCs) throughout southwest and central Wisconsin, has selected TANDBERG Television’s iPlex video processing platform.

By providing a flexible, high-density IPTV headend, the TANDBERG iPlex will enable Midwest TEL NET to offer consumers a number of channels in HD video using MPEG-4 AVC video compression.

As part of the integration, Midwest TEL NET deployed the iPlex video processing platform and a number of RX1290 Multi-Format MPEG-4/MPEG-2 SD/HD integrated receiver decoders. The iPlex video processing platform is a comprehensive system with dense encoding, transcoding, processing and routing capabilities.
