MaxT Systems showcases Web-based editing environment
MaxT Systems will showcase an end-to-end collaborative editing environment based upon its new MAXedit Server Edition at the 2009 NAB show (booth SL11206). MAXedit offers the ability to perform real-time craft editing from remote locations, as well as the studio, using native, compressed and uncompressed video formats, including P2 and XDCAM tapeless formats.
As a multiuser, browser-based HD/SD editing solution, MAXedit enables local and remote native format editing of centrally ingested material, thereby reducing project costs by eliminating the need to transport people and tape. New features at NAB include animation support, audio rubber banding, project and team collaboration tools, user-rights management, clip logging, improved media and metadata management, and support for new video formats.
NAB will also mark the first official showing of MAXcut and MAXreview, two new modules within the MAXedit Server Edition.
With MAXcut and MAXreview, the MAXedit collaborative editing environment integrates all aspects of editing — from logging, creating, reviewing and approving to exporting and publishing. MAXcut gives media professionals a streamlined, flexible editing tool with which to assemble rough cuts and storyboards, share creative editing decisions with team members, and facilitate the review and approval process from any location. Timelines assembled in MAXcut can be directly exported or further refined by a craft editor in MAXedit.
