LSI announces full HD encoder chip

LSI is rolling out a real-time HD encoder offering the performance and quality needed to support up to 1080p 60 HD content.

The first member of the LSI Domino[X] Pro product family is the DX-1810, a scalable platform that supports the H.264, MPEG-2 and VC-1 compression formats. The DX-1810 is designed to support the encoding requirements of IPTV, satellite TV and cable TV networks as well as for Blu-ray and HD-DVD real-time authoring systems.
