ION Television HD to launch in Q1 ’08

ION Media Networks announced Nov. 8 its plans to launch ION Television HD, the HD version of its flagship ION Television network, in the first quarter of 2008.

ION Television HD will be transmitted in 720p HD and will be delivered over-the-air, via cable, telco-TV and satellite. The network will feature native and upconverted HD programming and will be carried on all 60 of ION Media Network’s TV stations around the country.

ION Media Networks owns and operates one of the nation's largest broadcast TV station groups. ION Television reaches more than 94 million U.S. TV households nationwide.
