Ikegami to introduce EditcamHD, Editcam Station HD

At NAB2007, Ikegami Electronics will feature its new HDN-X10 EditcamHD, which uses a multiformat CMOS HD imager and Avid's DNxHD mastering codec to deliver HD resolution, full-raster (1920 x 1080) images that can be edited on laptop and desktop systems in real time.

The EditcamHD camcorder can record to two different forms of tapeless nonlinear media: the hard-disk-based FieldPak2 or the solid-state RAMPak cartridge. Both media mount to desktop or laptop editors instantly.

Ikegami will also roll out the HDE-X11 Editcam Station HD portable tapeless Avid DNxHD native field recorder. This enables producers to record to FieldPak2 or RAMPak media from any HD camera or source, in 1080i or 720p.
