Hong Kong-based post house relies on DVS ProntoXway disk recorder

Centro Digital Pictures in Hong Kong has acquired and begun using the DVS ProntoXway multichannel disk recorder at its post facility to for 3-D and high-resolution applications.

The ProntoXway enables the post house to create images using uncompressed data. With ProntoXway, the editors at Centro are now able to process image data in real time and prepare it for playback. With two video channels, the playback of stereoscopic content is possible using a single DVS system.

With optional 2K support, the ProntoXway is future-proofed and supports Centro's plans for intensifying its 2K workflows. Centro benefits from the real-time, reliable features of the disk recorder when working on 2K projects.
