Harris ships 3Gb/s HD routers

Harris has begun shipping Platinum and Platinum MX routing systems capable of passing 3Gb/s HD signals as a standard feature.

The high-capacity, small-footprint Platinum and Platinum MX routing switchers provide high-quality signal routing up to 128 x 128 in 9RU, 256 x 256 in 15RU and 512 x 512 in 28RU. Platinum routers support a mix of signals, including video and audio from analog to 3Gb/s HD-SDI in the same frame.

Because Platinum routers were designed with all internal paths 3Gb/s-capable from their inception, input, output and crosspoint cards capable of passing 3Gb/s signals are available separately for existing Platinum HD-SDI routers.
