Harris announces enhanced communication, control functionality in 6800+ core processing platform

January 18, 2009

Harris has introduced the FR6822+QXFE frame, the latest addition to the 6800+ modular core processing platform. Featuring an integrated Web server, the FR6822+QXFE frame provides broadcasters with advanced baseline communication and superior network control via Ethernet.

The FR6822+QXFE frame is equipped with an integrated Ethernet resource card that offers instant, free HTTP protocol support as standard for all 6800+ processing options — including multiplexing, advanced audio, compression, distribution, reference, frame sync and HD conversion — without OS restrictions or software installation delays. The frame supports the Harris CCS Navigator control and monitoring application as well as Harris Q-SEE enhanced monitoring technology, including thumbnails, customizable alarms, waveform and vectorscope monitoring and MPEG-4 streaming.
