Greek TV station selects Image Server 2000 from 360 Systems

Two of the largest TV channels in Greece have upgraded their operations to include satellite ingest and the automated playout of digital clips with the Image Server 2000 from 360 Systems.

Both Mega Channel and Alpha TV needed to playback local content through an automated system as the first step in their transitions from tape to a server-based system.

Bon Studio, the integrator/installer, chose the 360 Image Server because of its combination of reliability, versatility and affordability.

MEGA Channel uses the PAL version of the Image Server 2000 with a graphical user interface as a play-to-air server for advertising content, while Alpha TV is using the server’s playlist program to air ads and trailers and to handle continuity.

Other European customers include Hungary’s Vital TV and Echo TV, which developed a scheduling application that's customized and optimized for its three Image Servers.
