Globalstor Data unveils ExtremeStor-DI

OEM integrator of RAID, SAN and storage/video servers Globalstor Data has introduced its new ExtremeStor-DI tower workstation, a compact version of the company’s signature ExtremeStor-DI server line.

Optimized for uncompressed HD/2K capture and playback, the ExtremeStor-DI tower is a scaled-down digital intermediate (DI) workstation that mirrors the functionality and architecture of the ExtremeStor-DI server line. The sleek tower-based workstation is equipped with 10 fault-tolerant, hot-swappable SATA drives that can support a wide range of RAID levels.

With capacities ranging from 2.5TB to 10TB, the ExtremeStor-DI Tower integrates Dual Intel Xeon or AMD Opteron Quad Core processors and can process up to 600Mb/s of sustained data throughput in RAID 5. It is compatible with Windows XP or Windows 2003 open platform operating systems on a RAID-protected boot disk drive.
