FOX Sports uses NewTek TriCaster

FOX Sports used the NewTek TriCaster to assist in the production of its “NFL Preview Special,” the Aug. 15 webcast of the network’s annual preseason NFL summit.

Fox used TriCaster’s portable, live production broadcast capabilities to showcase its online coverage, including on-air personalities, producers, network executives and assorted special guests. The webcast was free to viewers and was archived for repeat presentations.

The TriCaster, a complete TV production system the size of a backpack, enables sports organizations, corporate communications departments, broadcasters, schools and others to provide extended programming and content over the Internet.

A single operator can produce a live show switching between as many as six cameras with two VCRs, multichannel effects and virtual sets with keying technology. The system offers more than 200 transitions, titles, audio mixing, iVGA graphics import, picture player and AVI or WMV video editing.
