FFV Omega HD Deck offers simultaneous play, record functionality

The Omega HD Deck from Fast Forward Video (FFV) is an HD broadcast-quality digital video recorder based on J2K compression.

It is available in either a single- or dual-channel configuration or as a simultaneous player and recorder. The simultaneous playback and record configuration allows users to replay a slow-motion clip while recording action without missing a second.

The Omega HD also offers optional features, such as a GigE control and front-side USB 2.0 port to upload and download images.

Standard features include:

  • Front-panel touch-screen control
  • 1080i and 720p HD record or 480i SD
  • Data rate up to 100MB per channel
  • Eight embedded audio channels per HD video channel (up to four channels AES3)
  • NTSC 60fld/sec 30fps, PAL 50fld/sec 25fps
  • RS-422 machine control
