EZQuest unveils rack-mount RAID storage

EZQuest introduced Cinema Pro, a rack-mount RAID storage system for Mac and PC that utilizes the latest PCI-e technology.

The Cinema Pro uses enterprise quality SATA II hot-swappable drives with low decibel swappable blowers along with optional redundant power supply with RAID battery back-up module (BBM).

The Cinema Pro Host Bus Extender implements the latest 20Gb/s PCI-express Extender technology, enabling the extension of the computer’s PCI-express signals to the Cinema Pro RAID system, which is expandable for potential growth (daisy chain capability).

This engine is perfect for ProRes 422, DV, DVCPRO HD, HDV, uncompressed SD/HD, 2K and even 4K (Red Camera) film format.

Designed with a built-in EZQuest RAID engine controller card that supports RAID 0, 1, 1E, 3, 5, 6, and JBOD, the card comes with 2GB of SDRAM memory and Intel 800Mhz IOP341 I/O processor. SMPT, SNMP, and GUI RAID configuration utility tools are included.
