ExtremeStor-4K storage, playback station gains JVC 4K projector certification

OEM integrator of RAID, SAN and storage/video servers Globalstor Data has gotten certification for its ExtremeStor-4K, a video storage and playback workstation for 4K and RED 4K content, for use with JVC’s DLA-SH4K 4K projector.

Directors, cinematographers, editors and others can leverage the combination of the ExtremeStor-4K and DLA-SH4K to view 4K content in real time at full resolution.

JVC’s certification of the ExtremeStor-4K with its 4K projector comes at a time when growing numbers of post-production facilities, screening rooms, independent editors, colorists and cinematographers require playback platforms and projection technologies capable of supporting uncompressed 2K, 4K, RED 4K and other graphics-intensive acquisition formats.

By using the ExtremeStor-4K to play back content to the DLA-SH4K, users can view 4K content at full resolution and in real time during the DI process.
