Digital publisher’s statistics show viewer interest in watching HD online

In less than one year, more than 20 million unique viewers have watched long-form or live near-HD or HD video content online from broadcasters by way of Move Networks, a digital media publisher and delivery service, the company said last week.

Move is currently capturing more than 100,000 new unique streaming video viewers each day.

The company released statistics about its customers’ viewing, including: A Move-enabled user's average viewing time is 50 minutes. Viewers watched more than 15 million hours of Move-enabled near-HD or HD premium video content online in October alone. As of mid-November, more than twice the number of viewers watched long-form video online than watched in the entire month of August. Move has streamed more than 50 million hours of television this year.
