Canon introduces XH A1, XH G1 camcorders

Canon has rolled out XH A1 and XH G1 HD camcorders with Canon 20x HD zoom lens, Super Range Optical Image Stabilization, 60i, 24F, 30F frame rates and total image control.

Building on the image quality of the XL H1, both camcorders rely on three 1/3in native 16:9 1440-x-1080 pixel CCDs that capture images at 1080i resolution. The camcorders feature 60i, 30F and 24F selectable frame rates to allow users to adapt to each assignment. The XH G1 model offers the added features of HD-SDI output with embedded audio and time code, genlock synchronization and time code in and out.

The XH A1 will be available in late October, and the XH G1 will ship in mid-November.
